Visit from Deputy First Minister

On Monday 5 September we welcomed John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education & Skills into our school.

Mr Swinney was launching the new Barefoot Computing teaching resource which helps young people develop the skills to problem-solve and think like a programmer.

Mr Torrens's P3 class wow-ed him with their skills in programming Bee-bots: little robots which move according to how we instruct them.

You can see more photos of the visit here in our gallery.
