Welcome to Primary 1D

Hello and welcome to the class blog for Primary 1D at the Community School of Auchterarder. I hope parents, carers and wider family members enjoy visiting the page and get an insight into their child's learning journey.

My name is Mr Dowling and I am one of the Primary 1 teachers for the 2016/17 school term. You will be able to find me in Room 2 on the Infant side of the school.

The class blog provides an excellent insight into the daily teaching and learning experienced by pupils in my class and is an excellent platform for sharing news, achievements and important information. With that said, writing a blog entry can be very time consuming, so I would also like to draw your attention my twitter feed, @MrSBDowling, which you will be able to see to the right of this page. You do not have to be a Twitter user to see what we tweet, as it is streamed here on the blog, but if you do have a Twitter account, please follow me for up-to-date tweets, interactive content and regular updates.

Twitter is a fantastic tool for sharing and reporting daily experiences from the class, sometimes in real time. I am proud to have used Twitter in my teaching, now for two years, and hope to continue to build on this moving forward with the inclusion of live videos (using the Periscope App), vlogs and parent feedback.

I look forward to working with you over the coming year and look forward to sharing with you the learning journey of your child.

Warmest Regards
Mr Sean Dowling
