Developing the Young Workforce
DYW is the Scottish Government's initiative to improve the options available to young people, reducing youth unemployment by preparing young people for the workplace and giving them the skills that employers are looking for.
Below is an outline of how we are addressing this important agenda and how we aim to improve in the future.

BTC3 Curriculum Entitlements
Every child and young person is entitled to develop skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work, with a continuous focus on literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing
Every child and young person is entitled to personal support to enable them to gain as much as possible from the opportunities which Curriculum for Excellence can provide
Every young person is entitled to support in moving into a positive and sustained destination

Following our work with Tiny Touch in helping to prepare our young people for the world of work we were awarded the Developing the Young Workforce award at the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star Awards at Crieff Hydro on 25/11/16. Here is the video from this event:
